To request a tour or speaker, please complete one of the following requests.
Meet Dr. Richard Bailey
Dr. Richard Bailey is a respected Alabama historian, author, educator, and tour guide with decades of experience bringing Montgomery's rich history to life. Through engaging tours, lectures, and publications, he has helped thousands gain a deeper understanding of Alabama's cultural and civil rights heritage. Known for his welcoming approach, Dr. Bailey encourages questions and ensures every guest enjoys an informative, memorable, and personalized experience.
Schedule a Tour:
- Date and time for tour.
- Requested locations, tour stops.
- Number of people expected to attend tour.
- Type of tour.
- Bus Tour. The fee for a bus tour is $250 per hour per bus. You can use a cashier’s check or money order to pay the refundable fee at least two weeks before the tour date. You will receive a copy of the completed contract within four days of receipt of payment.
- Walking Tour. The fee for a walking tour is $150 per hour.
- Specialized Tours. Rates begin at $200 per hour.
Adults | Minors | (under 6)
The fee for a tour is $250 per hour for groups up to fourteen adults and $20 per person for groups exceeding fourteen adults.
The fee must be paid with a cashier’s check or money order at least two weeks in advance of the tour. You will receive a copy of the completed contract within four days of receipt of payment. Refunds are provided with forty-eight hour written notice.
The fee for a walking tour is $20 per person (minimum of ten adults) for a two-hour tour. There is no fee for persons younger than 6 years of age. Payments and reservations guidelines are the same as those listed above.
